Privacy and Data Use Notice
This notice explains how Built Not Given Youth Initiative Inc. may collect, use, store, and protect information submitted through its website or related inquiry forms. Media permission is handled separately through BNG media release and consent documents.
Last updated: July 13, 2026
1. Who We Are
Built Not Given Youth Initiative Inc. is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity and Florida nonprofit organization (EIN 41-4798448). BNG uses storytelling, media education, sports engagement, mentorship, and accountability to help students build confidence, communication skills, leadership, character, and future opportunity.
BNG may collect information through its website, inquiry forms, donation links, school partnership requests, student or family interest forms, coach referrals, volunteer inquiries, and sponsor or donor communications.
2. Information BNG May Collect
Depending on the form or inquiry, BNG may collect:
- Student information, such as name, age, grade level, school, sport or activity, interests, goals, and program needs.
- Parent or guardian information, such as name, phone number, email address, emergency contact details, and communication preferences.
- School, coach, or partner information, such as school name, role, contact information, student referral notes, and partnership interests.
- Donor or sponsor information, such as name, organization, email, phone number, donation interest, sponsorship interest, or in-kind donation details.
- Volunteer information, such as name, contact information, area of interest, availability, experience, and role preference.
- General website information, such as messages submitted through contact forms, inquiry type, and basic technical information that may be collected by the website platform or analytics tools.
3. How BNG Uses Information
BNG may use submitted information to:
- Respond to inquiries from students, families, schools, donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners.
- Review student interest, referrals, program fit, consent needs, and possible participation pathways.
- Coordinate school partnerships, workshops, mentorship, media coverage, storytelling projects, and program opportunities.
- Communicate with parents, guardians, coaches, schools, or partners when needed for student safety, consent, accountability, or program support.
- Process donations, sponsorship interests, in-kind support, acknowledgments, and donor communication.
- Track program interest, improve services, organize outreach, and support grant reporting or impact reporting.
- Protect BNG, students, families, partners, and the mission through appropriate documentation and communication.
4. Student and Minor Information
Because BNG works with students and minors, parent or guardian involvement may be required before a student receives direct services, mentorship, media coverage, interviews, features, or program participation.
General website inquiries do not replace official BNG forms. Before direct support begins, BNG may require a student intake form, parent or guardian contact form, emergency information form, commitment agreement, media release, and other program documents.
BNG encourages students and families not to submit sensitive information through general inquiry forms unless it is specifically requested through an official BNG form or direct communication.
5. Media Consent Is Separate
Submitting a website inquiry or student interest form does not automatically give BNG permission to photograph, film, interview, post, feature, or publicly share a student.
Student media use is handled through BNG media release and consent documents. BNG will seek appropriate parent or guardian consent before official student media, interviews, stories, or promotional use when required.
6. Donations, Sponsorships, and Payment Platforms
BNG may use third-party platforms to process donations, sponsorships, fundraising campaigns, or payment-related information. Those platforms may collect payment details, billing information, transaction data, and donor contact information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
BNG does not intentionally store full credit card or bank account details through its own website forms unless a secure third-party payment platform is used for that purpose.
7. How Information May Be Shared
BNG does not sell student, family, donor, sponsor, volunteer, or partner information.
BNG may share limited information only when appropriate and mission-related, including:
- With parents or guardians for student communication, consent, safety, or accountability.
- With schools, coaches, teachers, or program partners when needed to support student development, referrals, program participation, or accountability.
- With service providers that help operate the website, forms, email, donation platforms, file storage, or program systems.
- With funders, donors, or partners in summarized or consent-approved ways to report program impact.
- When required to comply with law, safety concerns, legal obligations, grant requirements, or organizational protection.
8. Data Storage and Protection
BNG will make reasonable efforts to store information responsibly and limit access to people who need it for program, communication, partnership, donation, safety, or administrative purposes.
No website, email, cloud storage system, form platform, or digital tool can guarantee absolute security. BNG will use reasonable care to protect information and will continue improving systems as the organization grows.
9. Retention and Deletion
BNG may retain submitted information for program administration, consent records, grant reporting, donor records, student safety, legal compliance, impact tracking, and organizational archives.
Parents, guardians, donors, volunteers, or partners may contact BNG to request correction, limitation, or removal of certain information when reasonable and appropriate. Some records may need to be retained for legal, financial, grant, safety, or archival reasons.
10. Third-Party Links and Platforms
The BNG website may link to third-party platforms, including donation pages, social media platforms, form tools, cloud storage, email tools, or partner websites. BNG is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or data handling of third-party websites or platforms.
Users should review the privacy policies of any third-party platform they choose to use.
11. Updates to This Notice
BNG may update this notice as the organization, website, programs, forms, platforms, or legal requirements change. The updated version will include a revised date and replace older versions on the website.
